She was predeceased by: her husband Boyd Shaw; her parents, Garfield Gibson and Pearl Gibson (Ellis); her in-laws, Clinton Gibson (Fern), Irene Wannamaker (Harry), Flossie Trip (Sam), Arthur Gibson (Velma), Audry Wannamaker (Pat), Cyril Gibson (Evelyn), Bessie St (Rudy), Elgin Gibson (Violet), Margretha Smith (Bill) and Vivian Morrison (Hubert); and her sister Ollie.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Capital Funeral Home (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1). A reception was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
