He was predeceased by: his daughter Nada (Michel); his parents, Nicola Kandalaft and Nada Salta; and his siblings, Dr. Nadim (late Linda) and Nadima (late Michael) of Syria.
He is survived by: his spouse Thana Kaba; his children, Rev. Samer (Shahrzad) and Huda (Saad); his grandchildren, Mark Lutfalla, Paul, Joanna, Grace, Sophia, Maria, Gabriel, Elena and Christopher; and his brothers, Mouti (late Yvonne) of Canada and Maurice. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkdale United Church (429 Parkdale Ave, Ottawa, ON K1Y1H3). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Highland Park Cemetery (2037 McGee Side Rd, Carp, ON K0A1L0).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lutfallah's memory may be made to Parkdale United Church or to charities close to his heart: the Elderly Presbyterian Home or the Women's Presbyterian Society in Homs, Syria.
