We bid farewell to Maria Anjos (Ottawa, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 6, 2025 at the age of 93. Maria touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Maria may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Elsa Anjos (Andrew Paul) and Fernando Silva; her grandchildren, Linda Silva and Dana-Llyn Paul; and her great grandchildren, Carson, Talon and Hunter-Llyn. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (1200 Ogilvie Rd, Ottawa, ON K1J8V1). A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Ave., Vanier, ON K1L8A6).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (https://www.ottawaheart.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
