With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Neil MacFarlane (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Neil departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Neil. Though Neil may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Duncan; his mother Nancy; and his friends, William Butler Yeats We and Neil.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Royal Oak (1217 Wellington St. W, Ottawa, ON K1Y0Y1).
