He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson W. Whitman and Stella A. Whitman (Patton); and his siblings, Ina (Craib), Wallace, Irvin, Darrel and Allister.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian (Stevens) of Pugwash River; his sons, Bernard (Wendy), Brian (Linda), David (Dolores) and Danny; and his pet Millie. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, much loved by many nieces and nephews.
