He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Grindall; and his parents, Archie Watson and Beatrice Watson. He is survived by: his sisters, Joan (Fred Brailey) and Margaret (Bill Johnston); his children, Bruce (Vickie Graham), Lois (Pat Ruest) and Stephen; his grandchildren, Krystal (Tony), Joshua (Cori), Nick (Nicole) and Rebecca (Will); his great grandchildren, Helena and Archer; and his sisters-in-law, Enid Grindall and Mary Grindall. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
