He was predeceased by: his wife Maria (Giorlo); and his parents, Domenico Idone and Marianna Garonfalo. He is survived by: his children, Dominic (Micheline), Anna-Maria (Afonso) and Francesco; his grandchildren, Matthew, Sandro (Claudia), Alessia, Michael and Anthony; his great grandchild Jovi; and his siblings, Carmelo (Maria), Rosaria (late Francesco Idone), Antonia (Giuseppe Guerra), Giuseppe (Carole), Antonio (Felicia) and Francesco. He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pinecrest Visitation Center (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
