Phillip Bent Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Phillip Bent (Ottawa, Ontario). Phillip, born on April 17, 1941, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Phillip for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Manford Bent and Pearl Bent; and his parents-in-law, Ruth Silbsy and Ernest Silsby. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Stephen Bent (Mia Schoenherr-Bent) and Sherrie Bent; his sister Betty Keddy (late Mac Keddy) of Nova Scotia; and his grandchildren, Madison and Serena Bent.

In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
