She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Neirys; her close friends, Margarita, Ana Nuñez and Lala; and her mother Munda (Minda).
She is survived by: her children, Arturo Garcia, Jr., Teresa Garcia Perez (Adolfo Perez), Carmen Garcia Richter (Jon Richter) and Alta Garcia Kassin (late Leo Kassin); her grandchildren, Franklin (Diurka), Lisette (Ramon Jimenez), Sandra (George Methot), Therezabeth "Terri", Tiffany, David and Ronald (Chelsie); and her close friend Paula. She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (1200 Ogilvie Rd, Ottawa, ON K1J8V1).
