He was predeceased by: his parents, Edouard Berniqué and Béatrice (Chevrier); and his siblings, Léon, Simone, Lucien (late Jean-Guy Champagne), Grégoire and Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Denyse (Bissonnette); his children, Camille (Jason Bieman) and Daniel (Isabel Araujo); his grandchildren, Annabelle, Renée and Léo; and his siblings, Gerry (Evelyn), Ernest (late Gail), Mike (Willa), Micheline (Conrad Serrurier), Monique (Lyman Howes), Nicole (Robert Asselin) and Carole (Yvon Cadieux). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Rd, Ottawa, ON K4A3P7).
