He was predeceased by: his daughter Julie (Glen); and his brothers, Yvon (Lise) and Jean. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lacelle; his children, Kim Lacelle (Albert), Philip (Jennifer) and Shawn (late Natalie); his grandchildren, Melissa (James), Matthew (Lauren), Jennifer (Andrew), Erin (Charlie), Camren, Maddie, Cole and Bryden; his great grandchildren, Alena, Greyson, Kielyn, Koen, Daisy and William; and his sister Sonia (Jack McDiarmid). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
