With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Mellor (Ottawa, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on October 26, 2025 at the age of 66, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. “I met Rick at my first teaching job after graduating from Queens with his father (Wally) as my PE specialist instructor. Meeting Rick at Ottawa Tech was one of the highlights of my teaching career. He always was able to see the positive side of any dilemma. He had a wealth of encouraging energy.. He helped keep all his peers looking forward to social gatherings. He constantly volunteered his time organizing outdoor ed events, rugby tournaments, ski trips, and more. My sons and I will miss him.”
