He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacques Proulx and Georgette Proulx; his wife Diane Proulx; and his siblings, Dianne Crowther, Claudette Proulx and Donald Proulx.

He is survived by: his children, Chantale Proulx (Jean-Pierre Mercier) and Denis Proulx; his grandchild Devin Mercier; and his siblings, Michel Proulx and Monique Parisien.
