The memory of Richard Van Tassel (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orbin Van Tassel and Mabel Tucker; and his siblings, Jean, Audrey, June, Kenneth, Guy, Russell and Dennis.
He is survived by: his brother Ronald; his wife E. Ruth Carter; his daughters, Rachael Van Tassel (Emanuel) and Rosalind Helgason; and his grandchildren, Rick (Liz), Arthur and Katrina (Antonio).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cole Funeral Services & Highland Park Cemetery (2037 McGee Side Rd, Carp, ON K0A1L0). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
