Robin Lee Hazel Obituary

Robin Lee Hazel, 79, of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 23, 2026, with the love of his family surrounding him. Born on November 3, 1946, in Montreal, Québec, Robin spent many years as a dedicated professional in finance, where he was respected for his hard work, knowledge, and genuine care for others. He had a natural gift for connecting with people and making them feel comfortable and valued.

Above all else, Robin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family unconditionally. His love, wisdom, sense of humor, and steady presence enriched the lives of those around him and will be remembered always

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Freida (née Kuczmarski); his children, Derek (Raylene) and their daughter Siena, and Craig (Sarah) and their children Kate and Ashton; and his stepchildren, Jason (Wanda) and Alexander.

Though deeply missed, Robin's love, laughter, stories, and memory will live on through his family and all who knew him.

A celebration of Robin's life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared once arrangements have been finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to leukemia or cancer research in Robin's memory. Such contributions would be a meaningful way to honour his life and help support ongoing efforts toward better treatments and cures.
