He was predeceased by: his parents, Godfrey Armitage and Joan Armitage (Foot); his siblings, Maxwell, Robin (Lu), William (Shirley), Frank (Kay), June Pye (Brian) and Peggy Scott (George); his former wife Mary Spearman; his son Blake; his son-in-law Wayne Shepherd; his great grandchildren, Sarah and Brooke Armitage; and his wife Karen Flahven.
He is survived by: his brother Kingsley (Heather); his children, Maxwell, Ann Webster (Robert) and Donald (Glenda); his grandchildren, Shaun Armitage (Shannon), Emily and Margaret Armitage; his daughters-in-law, Mary Lou Carrier-Ellis, Patti Sheppard-Armitage and Mary Nelson; his niece Joanne Pye-Milligan; his brother-in-law George Spearman (Helen); and his nieces and nephews, Kelly, Paul, Cassidy Atkins, Jeff and Sheila Armitage. He is also survived by his family and many, many friends.
