Sheryl Lynn Smith Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheryl Lynn Smith (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Earl; her parents, Gerald Blenkhorn and Estelle Blenkhorn (Cormier); her brothers, Bob and Gordie; her sisters-in-law, Diana and Emilie; and her nephews, Kevin and Bradley Blenkhorn.

She is survived by: her children, Craig (Virginia) and Tara (Jason); her grandchildren, Evangeline, Sloane, Andy and Aurora; her siblings, Fred, Anne (Michael) and Gary (Laura Lena); her sister-in-law Sandra; and her friend Pauline Stanley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Capital Funeral Home (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1).

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society in her memory.
