The memory of Shirley Simpson (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on April 25, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband George Lowell Simpson; and her siblings, Alfred Willows and Marjorie Earl. She is survived by: her children, Mary Louise Simpson (Patrick Dolan), G. Michael Simpson (Cindy Simpson), Ken Simpson and Laurie Fitzsimmons (Kim Fitzsimmons); her grandchildren, Jessica McMullen (Shaun Ferguson), Emily McMullen (Steve Jude), Sara Simpson (Adrian MacKay), Megan Simpson (Joseph Pereira), Olivia Simpson (Ricky Casipe), Veronica Simpson (Curt Miller), Bradley Fitzsimmons (Christine Fitzsimmons), Katie Fitzsimmons (James) and Courtney Bown (Rob Bown); her great grandchildren, Stuart, Martha, Timothy, Sophia, Vivian, Isabella, Emma, Èva, Connor, Evan, Hailey and Abigail; and her stepgreat-grandsons, Mason and Colby Jude.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (315 McLeod St, Ottawa, ON K2P1A2). A reception will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
