We announce the death of Shirley Yakabuski (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 88. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her former husband Gerald Yakabuski; her husband Kenneth Milligan; and her siblings, Josephine (Frank Larkin) and Bertille Arnold (Harold Hutchinson). She is survived by: her children, Mark (Heather Anderson), Matthew (Christine) and Anne Marie (Jeff Smith); her grandchildren, Zachary, Brayden Smith (Erin Kohli) and Anastasia Yakabuski (Matt Lawton); her stepchildren, Robert Milligan (Angela), Rachel (Doug Anderson) and Angela (Mitch Lamothe); her stepgrandchildren, April (Justin Laforce), Tara Roy, Riley Milligan and Ollie; Juliana (Ray Coulas).
Internment will take place at a later date at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Renfrew ON, In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada is greatly appreciated.
