We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2020, at the age of 88, Stuart Hamon (Ottawa, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Hamon; and his brother Douglas Hamon. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his sons, Christopher and Gregory (Shirley); his grandsons, Joshua, Matthew (Ashley) and Micheal; his stepgrandson Brett Webb; and his siblings-in-law, George, Joseph Shelfoon, Elaine Hamon, Ann Withey and Beryl Shelfoon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to COVID-19, the family has decided to hold only a small private service at Tubman's Funeral Home followed by the interment at Beechwood Cemetery.

Those wishing to make donations in his memory are asked to consider giving to the Dementia Society of Ottawa or another charity of your choice.

“I remember Stuart as a soft spoken and kind person at work. He was assigned to be one of two people to provide training to our "group of seven" new hires at Ottawa Hydro in March 1979. Here he is in the middle of his "young charges" in this grainy old black and white that invokes great memories every time I happen upon it. RIP Stuart. Jeff Meek”
