She was predeceased by: her former husband Alan Scharf; her husband Romeo Lafrance; her parents, Eleanor Casey (Edmonds) and Arthur Casey; and her siblings, Bernard and Jean McMonagle.

She is survived by: her children, Catherine Lystiuk (Paul) and Norman Scharf (Wendy); and her sister Joan Hedges. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
