He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Cornforth and Winnie Cornforth; his brother-in-law Ken Shields; and his friend Ian McIntyre. He is survived by: his children, Helen Shields, Moira, Jim Walman, Brenda and Doug Charles; and his nieces and nephews, Nuala Patton, Angela McIntyre and Andraius Skau.

In memoriam donations to Saint Patrick's Basilica Restoration Fund and the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
