He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Lake; his children, Riley Pellerin and Liam Scharfe; his mother Shirley Pitre (McAuley); his niece Willow Vieau-Herns; his nephew Leo Herns; and his stepchildren, Kaitlin Saab and Ricky Saab. He is also survived by many cousins, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kelly Funeral Home-Kanata Chapel (580 Eagleson Rd, Kanata, ON K2M1H4).
