He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Betty; and his brother Billy. He is survived by: his children, Cassandra Oakes (Wesley), Matthew Oakes (Robyn) and Emilly Oakes (Mason); his grandchildren, Brady, Ava, Owen, Lauren, Avery, William and Aubrie; and his close friend Karen Oakes. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other extended family.
