She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Lawrence Halstead; her parents, Percy McAllister and Gertrude McKinley; and her siblings, Leona (late Marc Hamelin), Theresa (Gregory Ryan), James (Donna Starling), Lewis (Nicole Chamberland), Helen (Wilfrid O'Donnell) and Dean.
She is survived by: her daughter Shauna Halstead Salomone (Paul); her stepdaughters, Beth Weckman (Dave) and Cathy Neugebauer (late Gunter); her grandchildren, Andrew, Brenda Salomone, Andrea Weckman (Jess Jones), Nikki Weckman (Danny Burns) and Eric Neugebauer (Christa Thomas); her great grandchildren, Theo and Gus; and her sister Mary. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Basil's Catholic Church (940 Rex Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A2P7). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
