He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Balerna; his brothers, Francesco (Luisa), Aldo (Giuliana) and Concezio (Rita); and his parents, Nicola Balerna and Anna Balerna.
He is survived by: his children, Cathey (Richard Dupuis) and Laurie (Joey Leblanc); his grandchildren, Vittorio Dupuis (Lexie), Vern Dupuis and Meghan Leblanc; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen (Ronald), Elizabeth (William) and Lee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pinecrest Visitation Center (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (427 Booth St, Ottawa, ON K1R7K8). An entombment will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
