He was predeceased by : his parents, Josef and Anastasie; his sister Slava; his daughter Vladana; and his son-in-law Brendon.

He is survived by : his wife Jirina; his children, Jirina and Jan (Gabriella); his grandchildren, Veronica, Christina (Michael), Justin (Cheryl), Katrina (Mark), Lia (Andy), Philip and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Persephone, Audrey, Isla, Felix, Morgan, Lawson, Madelyn, William, Riley, Owen and Lucy.

In lieu of flowers donations to the University of Ottawa or the Bruyère Foundation would be appreciated.
