He was predeceased by: his wife Suzanne (Boyle); his son Daniel Rader; and his siblings, Don (Karen), Keith (late Linda) and Linda (Jim).

He is survived by: his children, Robin, Christopher (Terrilynn Ryan) and Victoria (Cameron Nichols); his grandchildren, Ryan (Jamie), Grant, Taylor (Jordan), Ashley (Steve) and Sienna; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas and Wesley; and his brother Roy (Gail).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be most appreciated.
