She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Harold Batson and Dr. Lois Batson (Adams); her husband Donald Pettigrew; her sons, Christopher and Bruce; her sister Frances; and her brother-in-law Joseph Darkes.

She is survived by: her daughters, Joanne Pettigrew and Heidi Story (Allan); her grandchildren, Cleo Brown, Alexander Story and Claire Story (Alex); and her sister-in-law Marion Pettigrew. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
