Gerard Powers Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2025, at the age of 81, Gerard Powers of Owen Sound, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gerard had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gerard may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Powers and Stephen Powers; his sister-in-law Doris Powers; and his pets, Eli, Amy and Geo.

He is survived by: his siblings, John Powers and Mary Ryan-Powers; and his extended family Marilyn Messerschmitt.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to a charity that supports the well being of animals would be appreciated.
