He was predeceased by : his parents, Oakville Sound and Owen Sound; his siblings, Nancy Baillie and Peter C. Newton; and his former life partners, Marilyn Heintzman Newton, Kathleen Quarmby Newton and Jean Liddell Newton.
He is survived by : his wife Helen Maxwell Newton; his stepdaughter Karen Drury (Andy); his daughters, Margot "Tan" (late John), Williamson (Bob Kirkwood) and Dianne Alexander (late Richard); his grandchildren, Robin, Blaire (Jeremy) and Kelly (Chad); and his great grandchildren, Alina, Max, Jack, Nickolas and Nathan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
