He was predeceased by : his spouse Jessie McCurdy; his parents, Helen McCurdy and Garfield McCurdy; and his siblings, Harold, Laurie, Bill and Jean Newell.
He is survived by : his sons, John (Holly) of New Hamburg and Richard (Janet) of Guelph; his grandchildren, Griffin, Laura (Nick), Sean (Ascacia) and Ian; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Evelyn and Ethan.
