“Dear Leslie This candle is for you , my unforgettable friend . How were we known as best friends in our childhood? First we were always together, creatively inventing play and tree climbing. Our mothers enrolled us together in Mrs. Lewis. nursery school in Ancaster at the age of three and a half. There we learned to read and print and how to be kind. We were achievers at school, skipping grades and sharing the top girl scholarship in Grade 8 Leslie, my best friend .. I love you.. Heather”

“Dear Erik, Marion and families, It is with great sorrow that I write you these condolences. Leslie was a constant dear friend to me over the years . We were best friends in nursery and elementary school in Ancaster, living 4 houses apart in Spring Valley. We did everything together along, at times with the Crerar dog , "George". We never ran out of things to play and do as children. She will be greatly missed. May God Bless and sustain you in your loss . Heather Halpin (McClary )”
