He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Lee Bechard (Trudell); his parents, Cecilia Bechard (Rose) and Armand Bechard Sr.; and his son André Bechard. He is survived by: his son Brian Bechard (Lisa); his grandchildren, Zachary (Nancy), Morgan Baker (Jeremy) and Shelton Richardson (Karly); his great grandchildren, Layla Baker and Parker Richarson; and his siblings, Yvonne Marchand, Rose Marie Charbonneau, Maurice, Urban "Pete", Roger (Leona), Ronald (Jean) and Bernard Bechard.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home (156 William St S, Chatham, ON N7M4S8). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculee Conception Church (24152 Winter Line Rd, Chatham, ON N7M5J7).
