He was predeceased by: his spouse Alberdina Schuitema; his sibling Kunne Schuitema of Holland; his parents, Jakob Schuitema and Anna Schuitema; and his brothers, Jan, Wessel, Roelof and Piet.
He is survived by: his children, Irene Scott (Everett) of Listowel, Jack Schuitema (Sherry) of Williamsford and Benedict Schuitema (Laurie) of Harriston; his grandchildren, Lindsay Scott (Kevin McMillen), Robert Scott, Tonia Watters, Joshua, Brandon, Tyler, Michael and Rachael Schuitema; and his great grandchild Colton McMillan.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or Palmerston Christian Reformed Church would be appreciated by the family.
