He was predeceased by : his wife Helen Annie Herr; his parents, Albert Herr and Adelaide Herr (Wakefield); his brother George Herr; his nephew James Edward Shewan; his great-nephew Scott Vandenberghe; and his great-niece Elizabeth Dorothy Cherwick (Jones). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
