She was predeceased by: her husband John Richard Pettifer; her parents, Emile Vezina and Henriette Vezina; and her siblings, Helen Dillman (Lee), Moise Vezina (Helen), Yvon Vezina (Eva), Donat Vezina (Sally), Gerard Vezina (Brenda) and Eugene Vezina (Carol).

She is survived by: her son James Pettifer (Jillian); and her siblings, Damien Vezina (Doris), Alice Braaten (Albert), Joseph Vezina (Susan), Cyril Vezina (Debbie), Jean Paul Vezina (Tami), Therese French (Delphis) and Aurel Vezina (Yvonne). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated as Julie loved animals.
