She was predeceased by: her parents, John Summerhayes and Mabel Summerhayes; her stepmother Florence Summerhayes; and her husbands, Donald Curtis and Raymond Dawdy.

She is survived by: her children, John (Yurima), Sue (Jeff) and Allan Curtis; her sisters, Anne Edelman (Ron Jutzi) and Jackie Joyce (Wayne); her grandchildren, Jordan Ella (Jayde), Maclay (Sarah-Elizabeth), Mabel (Shawn), Brady (Dez) and Bennett Curtis; and her friends, Ethel, Janet, Yvonne and Harmony Bay. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
