Esther Mawson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Mawson (Parkhill, Ontario), who passed away on April 1, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Esther Mawson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Mawson; her parents, Clarence Lightfoot and Dorothy Lightfoot; her parents-in-law, Estelle and Roy Mawson; and her brothers, Wilbert (Joyce Mawson) and Jim Hutchinson (Bruce Edwards).

She is survived by: her children, Jim Mawson of Ailsa Craig, Donna, Bob and Lorette Mawson of Lucan; her grandchildren, Brian Dixon, Carrie McCullough (Greg), Brent Dixon (Stephanie), Daryn Mawson (Veronica), Yvonne Waack (Chris) and Whitney McFalls (Matt); her great grandchildren, Avery, Emma, Jordan Dixon, Sadie, Oliver McCullough, Carter, Elodie Mawson and Evelyn Waack; her siblings, George, Carol Lightfoot, Ruth Edwards and Dinah Lightfoot (Kenneth Dixon); and her siblings-in-law, Doug, Lynda Mawson, Marilyn Hutchinson (Ric Cross) and Joyce Hutchinson. She is also survived by grandmother to her six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In memory of Esther, donations can be made out to Breast Cancer Canada or to the McGillivray Central Public School for new playground equipment.
