He was predeceased by : his sister-in-law Sandra; and his parents, Bob and Sadie. He is survived by : his spouse Linda Porter (McLellan); his children, Jackie Porter (Paul), Jodie Nieuwenhuizen (Rob) and Jason Porter (Angela); his grandchildren, Chad Fleming, Eliza Fleming, Emma, Michaela, Kurtis Nieuwenhuizen, Ethan Porter and Jayla Porter; and his siblings-in-law, David Robertson and Sue Porter.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the MS Society would be greatly appreciated.
