She was predeceased by : her parents, Waubgeshig Tabobondung and Lucy Tabobondung; her husband Lorne Fredrick Pawis; and her siblings, Nellie, Frank, Alfred, Eldridge, William, Anderson, Aileen, Jane, Stella and Clara.

She is survived by : her children, Lorna, Dave, Bertha, Warren, Ethel, Tracey and Conrad; her adoptive son Norm Swanson Sr.; her daughter Deborah; and her grandchildren, Laureen, Chris, Justin, Lyzander, Andrea, Waukomaun, Jacob, Travis, John, Nancy, Lorne, Sam, Niiwingiigodah, Josh, Lee Ann, Erica Ann, Jesse, Zakkary, Tyson, Austin, Deion, Ocean, Montana, Kamyia, Brody, Chase, Muskwendum, Ogitchida, Mino-Margret, Saagasgeh, Melody, Zack, Dillion, Biidaasmoseh, Blossom, Paimossigai, Jenfir, Nadia, Semma, Karma, Carlisle, Raya and Aziah. She is also survived by nephews, brother and sister in-law, adopted granddaughter and many friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Logan Funeral Home (81 James St, Parry Sound, ON P2A1T7). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Logan Memorial Chapel.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation, or Mama's Language program.
