He was predeceased by: his son Stephen; his grandson Keith Andrew Frey; his parents, Clayton and Susannah (Shoemaker); his siblings, Orvie, Earl, Abner, Florence Metzger and Eileen Martin; his parents-in-law, Simon and Adeline Martin; and his brothers-in-law, Aden Weber and Amsey Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Martin; his children, Sharon Horst (Ron), Keith Martin (Linda) of Honea Path, SC, Beth Gingrich (Stafford), Seguin, Carol LaRochelle (Paul) of Clairmont, AB, Delphine Frey (Keith), Kathryn Good (Edward), Trina Troyer (LaVern) of Coshocton, OH and Cindy Martin (Kirby); his grandson Jonathan Jones; his siblings, Leonard (Mildred) and Merle (Fern); and his in-laws, Lena Martin, Mary Martin, John Metzger, Orlean Martin, Aleda Weber, Mabel Martin, Oscar, Joan Martin, Glen and Eileen Weber. He is also survived by 52 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St, Parry Sound, ON P2A2L8). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Foley Cemetery (53 Rankin Lake Rd, Parry Sound, ON P2A2W8). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bayside Family Church (4 Parry Sound Dr, Parry Sound, ON P2A2X2).
