She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Hammel; her parents, Edward Gougeon and Gladys; and her siblings, Jack (Joan), Marg (Rob), Bill (Doris), Tom (Gail), Doreen (Alec), Herb and Norma (Ken).

She is survived by: her children, Chuck and Lynn (Keith); her grandchildren, Meggan, Lindsy, Cameron, Josh, Wil and Rheanna; her sister Audrey (Craig); and her sister-in-law Wilma (late Morley). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
