He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Vowels and Mildred Vowels; his son Edward Vowels; his grandson Graham Vowels; his siblings, Garnett Vowels (Sandra) and Glenna Vowels; and his brother-in-law Dave Aitchison.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean (Aitchison); his daughter Susan Vowels; his daughter-in-law Laurie Vowels (Frank Day); his grandchildren, Eddy Vowels, Melissa Vowels, Allie Weeks (Colin Crawford), Terri Weeks (Shane Young) and Jacob Weeks; his sisters, Greta Taylor (late Dennis) and Norma Holmes (late Brian); and his siblings-in-law, Doug Aitchison (Beverly) and Kathy Syme (late Jamie). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
