He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon McGuire and Phyllis McGuire; his son Sandford; and his brothers-in-law, Peter, Vern and Norman.

He is survived by: his spouse Claire McGuire; his child Keith McGuire (Amanda); and his grandchild Sandi. He is also survived by his friends and extended family.
