He was predeceased by: his child Gayle Suley (Bill); his parents, Andrew Smith and Florence Smith; and his siblings, Gordon, Shirley and Georgina.
He is survived by: his spouse Helen Smith; his children, Carol Smith of Perth, Millard Smith (Ella), Pembroke, Wayne Smith (Elizabeth) and Oshawa; and his grandchildren, Leanne Summers (Tim), Kristyne Ross (Jeff), Margaret Smith and Krista Graham (Jesse). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
