He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Machin and Rose Machin; and his brother Stanley Machin. He is survived by: his siblings, Dale Machin (Donna), Cape Breton and Terry Machin (Cathy); and his siblings' children, Sherry Godin (Ben), Christine Brodofske (Terry), Ashley Machin (Mohit), Micheal Machin (Lacey), Whitney Machin, Thomas Machin and Colin Machin.

In memory of Barry, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
