She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Hammel; her child Jean Shier; her parents, Albert Rosien and Elizabeth Rosien; and her sisters, Beatrice Schruder (Harvey) and Erna Handke (Garvin).
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Hammel (Heather), Elaine Graham (Mark) and Murray Hammel (late Tracey); her grandchildren, Jenny (Kassie), Greydon (Kira), Aaron Hammel (Liana), Sarah Burleigh (Don), Mitchell Graham, Amanda, Kaila, Andrew Shier and Bradley Hammel (Bridget); her siblings, Beryl Richardson (Keith) and Vincent Rosien (Diana); and her caregiver Dr. Johnson.
