He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles George Gale and Muriel Gale; and his sister Deborah Hammel. He is survived by: his wife Helen McLaughlin; his children, Nicole Horner (Chris) and Michael Gale (Ashley); his stepchildren, Erin McLaughlin (Steve) and Patrick McLaughlin; his siblings, Charles Gale (Dianne), Arlene Deloughery (Mark) and Kathy Hartlin (Wayne); and his grandchildren, Haley, Ryan, Reid (Michael), Isaac, Brielle, Aiyanna and Everlee (Erin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murphy Funeral Home (296 Isabella St, Pembroke, ON K8A5S9). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
