With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evens Girard (Pembroke, Ontario), who passed away on October 2, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Debra "Debbie" Girard; his parents, Evangeline Girard and Rene Girard; his parents-in-law, Arlene Currie and Gordon Currie; and his siblings, Helen Girard, Robin Girard, Raymond Girard, Gaby Girard and Dany Girard. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. George's Chapel, Garrison Petawawa on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 at 11 a. m. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AND AT THE CHURCH AT ANY GIVEN TIME - FACE MASKS/COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND THE FUNERAL SERVICE.

“Bonjour, toutes mes condoléances à tous. J'ai connu Evens dans l'armée en 1982 alors que nous étions à Ottawa sur la base militaire de Rockliffe. Quand nous avons quitté Rockliffe, Evens se dirigeait vers la Colombie Britannique et moi à Winnipeg, et je ne l'ai pas revu depuis. Nous avons le même âge. J'ai appris la triste nouvelle d'un autre ami que j'ai aussi connu dans l'armée. Encore une fois, toutes mes sympathies à toutes la famille. Germain Foster”
